(Mr. C and Penny are working away when Surfer Bob suddenly appears, shouts and scares them.)

SURFER BOB: HEY!!! (Mr. C and Penny jump.)

PENNY: Hey. What's up?

SURFER BOB: I'm gonna change the world! Yessiree! This here hombré is gonna make history. Jest you watch and see!

PENNY: What ... ?

MR. CHRISTOPHER: Bob, what are you talking about?

SURFER BOB: Now don't try to stand in my way, Christopher. Jest you wait and see ...

ACCOUNTANT BILL: (Voice off side) Uh hem. Excuse me, um, Bob.

SURFER BOB: Accountant Bill! Mi amigo. My brother, my friend, come on out here. Did ya hear? I'm gonna change the world!

ACCOUNTANT BILL: Um, yes, uh, Bob. Precisely the reason for my, um, visit, brother. You see, um, Bob, uh, according to my calculations, you, uh, have about one chance in a gadzillion, uh, yeah, a gadzillion, of changing the world.

SURFER BOB: WHAT?

ACCOUNTANT BILL: Well, that's all. Goodbye.

SURFER BOB: (deflated) That thar no good fer nuthin' math e matical dude ... .

PENNY: Now Bob O, what's all this about?

SURFER BOB: Well, I wuz gonna change the world! I wuz out there, and I caught a real gnarly wave, Penorita. A real whopper. Anyway, it took me straight to a site about changin' the world. And I wuz gonna hop right to it!

PENNY: Maybe there's still a chance. Don't worry ...

MR. CHRISTOPHER: Bob, by chance were you visiting a site about the World Changers?

SURFER BOB: Yeah! Yer the dude, C! You know them changers?

MR. CHRISTOPHER: Well, I know about the World Changers, specifically about the International World Changers. Since 1990, the World Changers program has been committed to offering first-rate missions experiences to people in the United States. The vision began with involving senior-high youth in hands-on missions, and now all ages participate.

And the various programs offered by World Changers are united by a common goal: to provide Christian youth and adults with opportunities to meet physical and spiritual needs of others. Basically, most World Changers trips involve constructing buildings such as homes, camps, schools or churches. And most importantly, the World Changers witness about new life in Jesus Christ.

PENNY: Hey, Mr. C, it's people my age who are involved in World Changers. Did you know that in the last 10 years, more than 52,000 youth and adults have made a significant impact on the world for Christ by repairing more than 4,000 homes through World Changers?

SURFER BOB: Well, I ain't much of one to swing a hammer, but surely I could do somethin'!

PENNY: I'm sure you could, Bob. Everyone can do their part to help change the world. Let's see what happened when youth from the United States traveled to Latin America to do THEIR part.

SURFER BOB: Whew wee! Sure looked hot there! But those kids did some dyno mite work!

MR. CHRISTOPHER: They certainly did. It's amazing how God can take us out of our comfort zone to be on mission with Him where He already is at work all over the world.

PENNY: And it's amazing how He can use anyone, even kids, to do tasks that might otherwise seem impossible.

MR. CHRISTOPHER: That's right, Penny. Even trained World Changers have to be ready to step out of their comfort zones. As we said earlier, most World Changers do construction. But last summer, 60 teenage World Changers who traveled to Jordan encountered a different task.

PENNY: I remember hearing about that group. Instead of construction they chose to teach English to little kids during an English camp. Teaching English gave them the opportunity to share Christ with the kids and their families.

SURFER BOB: Here's a story all about them thar world changin' teenage heroes.

MR. CHRISTOPHER: Great! Watch this.

PENNY: It's so awesome that there are opportunities to begin impacting the world NOW, while we're still young. And you can begin thinking how you're going to impact OUR world!

MR. CHRISTOPHER: That's right, Penny. Some of our Kids on Mission partners already ARE actively involved in learning about missions. And that's a great start! Here's a letter from one of them:

MR. CHRISTOPHER: Thanks for a great letter! It's important to us that you want to learn more about God's world and how He is using Southern Baptists to share the good news of Jesus Christ all over it.

SURFER BOB: Yeah, man. Keep sendin' those letters to us. We like to feel the love. Mail 'em right away to: Kids on Mission, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230.

PENNY: And we like to help you learn how YOU can change the world.

SURFER BOB: Jest like me. I can change the world. Bill don't know nuthin'. I can show them World Changers how to barrel through a big wave. I can show 'em how to find stuff on the 'Net. Yep. I can make some changes!

PENNY: You sure can, Bob. And so can YOU.

MR. CHRISTOPHER: See you next time!
